Overview In this module/week, you will begin to engage the myth that only speaking represents power by reviewing various barriers that prevent the message sent from being received by the listener. You will determine your style of listening and relate its development to your socialization process. You will also examine how you listen to yourself and how it, in turn, spills into your conversation language and attitudes. Introduction of the metaphor of communication as an inhaling and exhaling process will expand your thinking of interpersonal communication
