Write a literacy narrative that re-tells one important scene, incident, experience, or character in your development as a reader or writer.
Write a literacy narrative that re-tells one important scene, incident, experience, or character in your development as a reader or
writer.
The literacy narrative is autobiographical, so you are not writing an essay in the traditional, academic sense. You should tell a story that unfolds chronologically, rather than writing in the thesis-driven format you may be familiar with in other writing situations.
Your narrative should include the following:
first-person narration (“I”)
appropriate verb tenses
a central point of focus and consistent point of view
chronological order and purposeful organization with appropriate transitions
plot and sensory details (smell, sight, taste, touch, sound)
use dialogue
Formatting Requirements:
3 pages, typed and double-spaced
MLA format, including an original title.
