Why should I borrow money?

There are many areas in finance where the theory and the practice do not coincide. The whole subject of capital structure and weighted average cost of capital
is one of those. Many business people say “Why would I borrow money – I earn all the money I need. I don’t want to owe anyone anything.” Why do you think they
say that and how would you respond to them?
