You will choose a modern artist (active in the last 50 years) whose work you admire. You will research their history, their work, and their musical style and use your research to answer the questions below. You will use your answers to these questions as a basis for the outline of your Comparison Paper at the end of the semester.
All answers must be in complete sentences, except for #4 below. Answers given in incomplete sentences for questions 1-3 will not be given credit. Be sure to check spelling, grammar and punctuation. Please note that there will be a 20% penalty for any submission where more than 30% of the word count consists of quotations. This assignment is worth 45 points.

Give an example of a song by your artist that belongs to this genre and list at least one stylistic element in the song to support that.
List three reliable references, in MLA format, that you used to complete this assignment or could use in a paper on this artist. Wikipedia may NOT be used as a source, but may be used as a place to FIND sources. NOTE: Skaar lectures may not be used as sources. List your Kamien textbook as a source instead.
