The unrestrained expansion of the reactor water in Problem 5.48 has a final state in the two-phase region. Find the entropy generated in the process.
A water-filled reactor with volume of 1 m3 is at 20 MPa, 360째C and placed inside a containment room as shown in Fig. P5.48. The room is well insulated and initially evacuated. Due to a failure, the reactor ruptures and the water fill the containment room. Find the minimum room volume so the final pressure does not exceed 200 kPa.
