is much in the news about making money buying distressed homes and condos. How
can I really do this? Can you give me some examples? Find an investment
opportunity (using realtor.com which has sold and rental transactions) to
provide a simple investment decision and quantify with a three to five year
hold. You should have specific property and cash flows associated with the
holding period. Again, do NOT make this a big project, but please
articulate your assessment and quantify a set of returns. If you need the
property to appreciate 15% per year you need some justification for that.
The outcome could be as simple as the basic investment examples we have looked
over in class. Again, this is a TVM related question as well as an opportunity
cost one. This should be a fun little exercise related to how most people start
in real estate
