Assessment 1: Report on Chapter Review Summary & Update with Integrating Case Analysis, and Presentation – Individual Assignment
Task: You are expected to analyse critically the allocated topic/chapter and cases specified for their respective topics and write a report on their findings. In your report, you are required to review and summarise existing chapter content, and then update chapter content with current literature. When you update the chapter, you need to support your update, analysis and argument with quality research (at least 5 quality journal papers). You are also required to integrate facts and analysis from case study that you have been allocated with this assignment. It is important that your case analysis and facts from case study to be used where it is appropriate to support as examples and to justify your argument and synthesis in your chapter update. Please refer to assessment 1 details provided below.
A Brief Guide to Assessment 1
- Summarise any one chapter of your choice out of 6 chapters
- Improve or enhance the topic/chapter with current related literature and research studies
- Update the case with latest information as you have to provide examples from case study and analysis to support your chapter update (apply case examples)
- Follow assessment criteria and instruction to prepare your chapter/report
- When you summarise content (Essence of the chapter), use maximum 2 -3 pages or less, then you can keep more space/pages for your real work – chapter update with case examples.
- In the chapter update, you need to review current literature minimum 5 quality journal papers that are published between 2009 – 2015. You may not find papers to update all areas of your chapter, but find as much as possible.
- While you add new literature/research and update the chapter, support your chapter update using examples from case analysis that you have been allocated for this assessment. It is important to find out updated case information from company website or related current information about the company.
- While you are doing this, I am sure that you will address most of the critical questions that are listed in the end of the case study. But you are not required to answer them separately, but you are required to include facts and examples as appropriate while you update the chapter.
- By doing so, you apply theory into practice and also synthase including a critical analysis. Therefore, your analysis, discussion and critics are important in this assignment.
