Political Science Research Question on Public Administration

The study of public administration has two areas of interest: American public administration and comparative public administration. Each area of interest incorporates a number of subfields. American public administration includes subfields focused on: the analysis of bureaucracy, public administration theory, public personnel management, state and municipal governments, ethics in public organizations, public policy analysis, and research methods. Comparative public administrations includes subfields focused on international institutions formulating and implementing policy in national settings, and the role of multilateral organizations in public policy.

Analyze one or two issues involved in one or two of these subfields taking care to cite the work of scholars who have made contributions to our understanding of the issue or issues involved in the selected subfield or subfields. (If you choose to analyze issues from two subfields, you may select both subfields from within one area of interest or you may select one subfield from each area of interest).
