Reflect on the information from this course and consider your personal ethics. What would you do in this situation? Why
I am not sure what I would do in this situation. I would like to think that I would drop everything, including my goals, to assist this individual and do everything possible to save his life; however, if there was a clear leader present, a leader who cautioned me against it for the greater well-being of the group and who informed me that the person would likely die anyway, I am not sure. As more information is provided one way or the other, I believe I might be swayed. I am not an expert on hypothermia, mountain climbing, or other such matters; however, instinctually, I know my first response would be to protect and save the Sidhu. Unfortunately, because I would be traveling a group and not making a decision related simply to my own welfare, the decision would become increasingly complex.
