- A couple is planning to start an online auction business similar to eBay. The business model would be in the form of a SAAS. Interested bidders would register with the site to engage the bidding process. The items to be sold online would be organized by subcategory within major category.
A full description of the items would be display for the benefit of the bidder. The couple is planning for a SBA loan to fund the project and must include an income projection report for the bank’s evaluation. The report (see below) is also needed for ongoing control.
The couple hired a consulting firm to build a database to support the auction application and needed control reports. The company started the design, but showed their inability to complete the project within budget. The couple has retained your firm to complete the development.
The previous company did design the needed income projection report and started to identify the data items needed to manage the bidding and to generate the control report. You have been assigned to organize the data items into four (4) relational tables and to build the necessary data relationships needed to generate the report.
To do so place the data items into the appropriate table and used connecting lines to link the tables to show the relationship.
