For this Assignment, you will write about LeRoy Karas’ ecomap that you submitted in Unit 8. In your paper, you will summarize and evaluate the influences of the environment on LeRoy’s behavior.

Include the following in complete sentences based on the eco-map you submitted on LeRoy Karas:

1.For your introduction, provide a one paragraph summary about LeRoy. Give a brief history of his life.

2.For your second paragraph, based on your ecomap of LeRoy, explain the strongest influences on his behavior.

3.In your third paragraph explain how LeRoy’s ecomap might change as he transitions from middle adulthood to late adulthood. Include information about either Levinson’s life structure theory or Erik Erikson’s theory of psychosocial development to explain the transitions LeRoy is experiencing.

4.Your fourth paragraph should be about your own prejudices or biases. Answer the following questions in paragraph four:

•If you were working with LeRoy, do you think you would have any prejudices or biases toward any of the systems affecting his behavior?

•If so, what would they be and how would you handle them?

•What stereotypes and misconceptions would you have to consider? (Be sure to use the information on ethics from the National Organization of Human Services and refer to it in your answer.)

5.In your fifth and concluding paragraph, explain what you might learn in terms of your own behavior from working with LeRoy or another client similar to him. What attitudes or behaviors often change within you as a result of working with people and helping others?

Your Assignment should include a cover page and a final reference page where you cite your course text, the National Organization for Human Services website, and any other sources you choose to include in the paper. The only two required sources are your text and the NOHS website.

Your paper should be 5 complete paragraphs, resulting in approximately 2–4 pages of text in addition to the cover page and the final reference page. It also should be free of spelling and grammatical errors. Your Assignment should be double-spaced, using a 12 point, Times New Roman font.

Instructions:  1.   Type the name of the client in the large circle. 2.   Determine the systems/influence which affect the client’s behavior. Replace the “Type here” areas (use all 8 textboxes) with the systems/influences. 3. Click and drag the arrows to indicate the nature of the relationship. If the relationship is two way, use two arrows. 4. As you move the arrows around, feel free to delete the arrow key boxes and move the circles to fit your needs. If you need more circles or squares, right click to select the object, click “Copy,” and then paste a new one. [Note: the “Type here” textbox should copy as well, but if you need a new textbox for the object, go to the “Insert” tab and click the Textbox icon. Select “Simple textbox.” Type the system/influence in the new textbox and move the textbox into place.] 5. If you need more arrows, simply right click to select an arrow, click “Copy,” and then paste a new one. Move the new arrow into place. 6. Delete any objects that are not going to be used. 7. Save as .doc or .docx file. NOTE: You may delete these instructions if you need more space for your Map.
