Improving Community Resilience

Develop a recommendation for increasing resilience in a specific community based on a
change in our national structure of laws and regulations to require all sectors in the United
States to create and implement actions to increase and maintain national resilience. Complete the following:
Use Los Angeles specific community as a case study for examination
Critique the approach of the community to resilience.
Propose national policy and administrative changes to enhance community resilience.
Design an emergency management system that integrates proposed policy and administrative changes.
Base your design on recognized management systems standards. NFPA 1600 can be used as either a management standard (body of the standard from 1600-5 to 1600-12) or as a management system standard as defined in Annex F.
Select theories to support the design of your emergency management system.
Integrate the influences from all assignments and discussion questions into a cohesive, logical argument to support your recommendations.
Submission Requirements
Written communication: Your writing should clearly identify where each grading criterion or part of the assignment is addressed. Your points must be logical, substantive, and relevant based on the evidence presented. The writing must be free of errors that detract from the overall message.
