For Greg – Draft Problem Statement

For Greg – Draft Problem Statement

Review the sample problem statement by clicking “sample problem statement” on the right——–> Include your program (such as DM, DM/IST, EDD, EDD/ET, EDD/CI, DHA, DBA, and so forth) on the title page. Develop a draft problem statement based on the problem that you plan to use for your doctoral dissertation. Ensure that the problem aligns with your doctoral program. Base the problem on at least two recent sources from peer-reviewed journals. Write the problem statement as a section about 1/2 to 3/4 of a page in length that describes the problem or issues creating the need for your study. The problem statement must include a general problem–a broad issue that exists related to your study. The general problem should be followed by a cited specific problem. Before you can develop the specific problem you need to have the purpose of your study in mind; the reason is that the specific problem needs to mirror the purpose. For example, if you are planning on researching why there is an achievement gap between two groups of students, your specific problem would be that an achievement gap exists. Finally, you should very briefly mention your proposed method and design, and the population that you will be using for your research. Note. These drafts will be finalized for use in the Concept Paper Draft assignment due in Week Eight.
