Term paper. A term paper comprehensively investigating some government policy. Economic principles will be central to the paper, which is argumentative. It will be evaluated by the following criteria: Reasoning and economics: Do you have a well-structured argument? Is there evidence where called for? Do you use economic ideas properly? (60% of term-paper grade) English usage: Grammar, spelling, word choice, etc. (30% of term-paper grade) Adequacy of research: Given your topic, have you done sufficient research to cover the topic? (10% of term-paper grade) There is neither a page nor source-number requirement. If you think primarily in terms of “How long does the paper have to be?” it will probably not be very good.
