Fluid coking of heavy residue
Hi there, I have a Report on Literature on this Topic ” Fluid coking of heavy residue ” and its too important and I will upload the Guidelines for this Report. Please make sure to read the guidelines and follow each step. Also, make sure to include tables graphs and process block diagram. Thank you !
- The report should be written in essay form. It should include:
- A title page (front page).
- Table of contents.
- List of illustrations (Figures & Tables)
- Body of the report consisting of following sections
- Introduction and background
- History of development
- Feedstock, chemistry and catalysis
- Divide into subsections as appropriate
- Process flow diagrams
- Review different configurations with diagrams and description
- Include design and operational details
- For selected focus include additional details as appropriate
- Conclusions
- References
- Review different configurations with diagrams and description
- The front page should give the title of the project, course number and title, your name, student number, e-mail, …
- The length of the typewritten report (double-spaced) should be 20 pages (from introduction to conclusions).
The report should provide a critical review of the subject. It cannot be purely discursive. For instance, it cannot be a recitative review of what each author said, e.g. “so and so said this, so and so said that”. It should be a well-articulated, holistic view of the question. It should offer insights, comparisons, useful perceptions. Use the Dewey numbering system for chapters, sections, subsections… e.g. (1.), Introduction, (1.1)…, etc.
- The report can be emailed to the assigned TA and copied to instructor on due date. If a hard copy is submitted, it should be properly stapled.
- If TA is not available, the hard copy report can be placed in course locker on the due date and email sent to TA and instructor.
- Penalty for late submission: 2% of the mark obtained per calendar day late.
- The report should be typed double-spaced and one copy made.
- The use of textbooks, although encouraged, will not suffice. Recent literature references also have to be used for the report. Just using general reviews will not do. Reports which have no recent literature references cited in the text will receive a poor mark.
- Cite references in the text of your report e.g. (Briens et. al., 1986). The list of references cited in the text would show: Briens, C.L., Martinie, Y., Bergougnou, M.A., “Fluidized Bed Calcination of Alumina”, IEC Process Design, vol. 10, p.370-396 (1986a). The last numbers are the page numbers of the complete article. For Proceedings, give the title of the conference, the sponsoring society, the place and date, the publisher; for books, give publisher, city of publisher, in addition to above information.
- All graphs and tables taken from the literature should be referenced. The copyright law makes this a must. The text itself should be liberally sprinkled with references. If a paragraph is taken texto from an article, it should be put between quotation marks and referenced.
- All tables and figures should be self-explanatory to people skilled in the art. However, they have to be discussed and explained in the text. Tell the reader what the figure or the table shows and which conclusions are reached from the data presented.
