Review the following scenario.

Your school has recently decided to start to integrate contemporary technologies into its educational design including the use of more social media technology. As the school’s principal, you thought it would be a good idea if you created a Facebook page to further increase your “face time” with students, faculty, and others.

Write paper answering the following questions:

  1. What types of information should be included on the Facebook page?
  2. How does including this information fulfill your responsibilities as a principal?
  3. How could you incorporate preferred principal leadership theories in your page?
  4. Determine who the stakeholders or “friends” would be for this page, the types of groups to which they would belong, and the different postings the stakeholders would make.
  5. How could you incorporate standards like the ISLLC and ELCC into your page?
  6. How might having this Facebook page help keep you abreast of current and future trends regarding technology, social media, and educational leadership?
  7. Do you foresee any issues, concerns, or problems with developing a new form of social media for the school?
