following scenario, how could Morty use these ADR methods? Discuss
which method would work best, what steps would be taken, and the

Because they were family, the two did not sign a contract. After
his very first day of work, Morty’s father-in-law told him to drive
the combine to the back forty. Morty started to explain that he had
never driven such a large vehicle before and that he did not have
time that night after supper to drive that far, but his
father-in-law said, “Deal with it!” and hung up the phone. Morty
drove the combine and clipped the neighbor’s barn while taking a
shortcut, causing substantial damage to both the barn and the
combine. The neighbor was very, very understanding, but then asked
for double what the damage was to the barn. Morty’s father-in-law
wants Morty to pay for the barn and says his insurance company
wants him to sue Morty for damages to the combine, although he
says, “I am not sure my daughter would appreciate that.” Morty is
flat broke, with another child on the way. What should he do?
