Please complete the 9 problems in the attached document. Below are the specific instructions for the assignment:
• List given data when it is not appropriate to annotate a circuit diagram.
• Draw neat circuit diagrams. Even if a circuit diagram is given as part of the question, you must
redraw it labelling all resistances, capacitances, e.m.f.s, voltage drops and currents as appropriate
with the correct symbols. Use standard/conventional drawing symbols.
• Define all symbols used; i.e. state what the symbol stands for. Use the given symbols, labels,
node and terminal markings; then add to these as necessary.
• State all formulae in terms of these component symbols and labels, before introducing numerical
values.
• Show ALL steps necessary to obtain your answers. No marks will be given for answers if the
necessary steps are not shown.
• Use powers of ten (engineering: ± 3; 6; 9) notation and unit symbol prefixes: m; m; k; M etc.
• Give answers, in general, accurately to three significant figures only (working to at least four
significant figures).
• Indicate ALL working in a logical sequence.
• Show ALL units on data and answers. (Use the SI system, augmented by approved unit symbols
only, as shown in the study book.) Do not put unit symbols on values within equations.
• With respect to the above 9 items, the layout of Superposition solution on page 4.21 in your study
book is a good example for you to follow.
• Underline or highlight answers.
