Creative Enterprise is about learning the skills to make a career in the Creative Industries. You may want to work as an independent artist, run your own creative business or work within the community. This could be in the visual arts, digital media, design, or performance. This module will develop the skills and encourage the attitudes to do this. A successful career in the creative industries requires a special combination of skills closely related to those of the successful artist: you need to be both flexible and innovative as well as capable of creative problem solving, strategic thinking, identifying new markets, planning and organization, understanding how markets are changing and evolving, informed risk-taking, working with uncertainty and generating new ideas.. This module is about encouraging you to develop these ideas with imagination, clarity and rigour, enabling you to evaluate their potential, and assess what would involved to make them real.
