comparison of pre op inguinal block vs local wound infiltration with locl anaesthetic on post op pain control after open inguinal hernioplasty

hernioplasty for inguinal hernia repair is performed in spinal anaesthesia in our set up and bupivacaine is used to infiltrate the wound to reduce post op pain.rather than simple wound infiltration if we administer inguinal block with bupivacaine (not under ultrasound guidance as it isn’t available) then what would be its effect on post op pain
