Paper IV is to be a commentary/analysis in the vein of Lili Loofbourow’s piece. I’d like you to choose a humanities work (an art piece, a film, a book, a short story, a poem or collection of poetry, a song, an album, a dance recital, something of architectural significance–see me about those last few) and write an analytical review of it.

 

Commentary and analysis

While doing a full-on analysis of this outside work, like Loofbourow, Kakutani, and Ebert do with their critiqued pieces and their pieces’ genres, you should attempt to place your chosen work in the company of some of the works that we’ve read in this class.

These papers should be 4 pages long, and they likely will append a works-cited page.
