Actual Assignment: You are required to write a research paper (eight (8) full typed pages, double-spaced with one-inch margins on either side of the page, separate from the bibliography) based on research on some aspect of the Civil Rights Movement. The eight (8) page research paper should have footnotes or endnotes and a one-page bibliography. The research paper must include the citation of at least two (2) primary and two (2) secondary sources as documents based evidence, or it will be returned for revision. If your paper’s sources come from a Website, you should print out and submit a copy of the full article, document or source noted in your paper; and no Wikipedia as a source. Do pay attention to presentation and grammar, and spell-check your work, as the paper will be returned to you if you have failed to use the spell-check tool on your computer, or if the paper is too short, does not include the required citations, quotes, endnotes or footnotes, or is not actually based on research. Side Notes: Before you write the actual paper, the topic has to be approved by my professor. The steps  to follow before you start to write the actual paper are the following: Step One: Present with me a list of topics that you would be interested in writing about (I suggest that you list the topics in order of preference with the first being the most preferred and the last being the least preferred). Step Two: I will take those topics you present we with and run them by my professor. Step Three: I will take the topic that is most preferred by you that is approved by my professor and that is the topic that you will write about. Step Four: Once I come back to you with an approved topic, then you can start to write the actual paper. I will try to have your most preferred topic approved. DO NOT start to write the actual paper until I have come back to you with an approved topic. I know I provided you with a lot of information.
