Barriers Cheesebro, O’Connor, and Rios discuss Communication Barriers in Chapter 1 of Communicating in the Workplace. In addition to the barriers they mention, there are other types of barriers including language. Other than language barriers, what other cultural, age related, disability, sexual orientation, or other types of communication barriers might have an effect on health care and health care communication in your community?
