You are the builder on the CASE STUDY 2 residence project. Although the couple were both working at the

time they signed the contract, the client has recently been made redundant. They now need to re-think the

materials, products and finishes they had chosen, and they are looking for advice on cheaper options.

Refer to the plans and specifications for the project. Choose five materials, products or finishes, and for

each one, suggest a cheaper option.

In an email to the Client outline the suitability of your suggested options in meeting the following criteria:

• Safety

• Durability

• Fire resistance

• Cost effectiveness

• Compliance with standards.

To complete this task you need to choose five materials, products or finishes and write them an email

(about 500 words).
