Application to Practice
The purpose of this assignment is to provide you with an opportunity to apply what you have learned to practice. Therefore, you will begin by identifying a group project that had challenges to be implemented. You can select a group project that you experienced in your organization or in other settings (i.e. your children’s school, your church, and your college).
Secondly, you will identify the organizational culture (or group culture). Complete your assignment by responding to the following directives:
1. Briefly describe the group project and its challenges.
2.Set up at least two SMART goals for your project. (Review pages 198 and 199 of your textbook.)
3.Design an implementation plan for your project. You can use bullet points to outline the steps of the implementation. (Review pages 202 and 203 of your textbook.)
4.Describe your leadership plan to support the implementation of your project by addressing these issues: How would you motivate your team? How would you promote engagement? Do you think the culture of the organization (or group) support and align with your plan?
Your final assignment should be 2-3 pages in length. Completed assignments should be submitted by the end of the Module 7. Complete the self assessment tool on page 71 of your textbook and analyze the results in writing by responding to questions 1-3 on page 72.
